JPN1012 Computer Lab Session 1

Lesson Plan

1. Typing Practice
If you are not familiar with typing Japanese on a computer, go to the typing practice page, and practice typing in Japanese.

2. Genki Online
If you are familiar with typing Japanese on a computer, but not confident with Verb Short Forms (Past Tense), practice them on the Genki-Online self-study page. Choose "Lesson 9: Verb Past Affirmative" and complete the practice. When you finish, go back to the previous page and practice with "Lesson 9: Verb Past Negative."

3. Lesson 9 Grammar Page
When you finish the typing practice, go to the Lesson 9 Grammar page, and practice.

4. Typing Practice
When you finish the Lesson
9 Grammar page, open Microsoft Word and practice typing using the diary assignment. Double check the sentences and send it to Tazawa-sensee (tazaw001@umn.edu) via e-mail. Name the title as gJPN1012 diary assignmenth. DO NOT send the message in the rich text format. If you are using Gmail, you can just copy and paste the Japanese sentences in the text area. If you are using other e-mail software, attach the Word document to the e-mail just in case the sentences turns into gMOJIBAKEh (gibberish).

5. Lesson 7~9 Vocabulary Exercises and Particle Exercises
When you finish the typing practice, go to the Genki Vocabulary Exercise page. Practice "Lesson 7", "Lesson 8" and "Lesson 9".
When you finish the vocabulary exercise, go to the Genki Particle Exercise page. Practice "Lesson 7", "Lesson 8" and "Lesson 9".
